Patty Baisden is Vice President and co-owner of QMT Windchimes, a windchime manufacturing company in Manassas Park, Virginia. QMT Windchimes’ products are 100% manufactured in the USA. They are sold in every state and exported to several countries. QMT Windchimes was Prince William Chamber of Commerce 2012 Business of the Year. Patty’s career started in social services as Emergency Assistance Coordinator at SERVE, Inc. (now Northern Virginia Family Services). While her children were young, she volunteered in the community in various tasks while being a full time mother at home. She returned to the workforce in 2003 in various part time capacities before coming to QMT as Human Resources Director in 2004. In 2006, she and her husband purchased the company. Under their leadership, the company has thrived. The mission of QMT Windchimes includes the intention to donate a significant portion of all profits to philanthropic purposes.
Mrs. Baisden serves on the Board of Directors for Prosperity House (transitional housing), BELL Foundation (Manassas Park Education Foundation), and the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Advisory Council for Benedictine Sisters of Virginia in Bristow, VA. She is a past member of the board for BEACON (literacy and GED program). Patty is proud of support the American Red Cross as a member of the Tiffany Circle and provides a membership for her daughter. Patty is current Council Chair for the Prince William American Red Cross and a member of the Board for the National Capital Region. She is a member of the Virginia Manufacturers Association. She is a Rotary Major Donor and Paul Harris Society member. Patty is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Prince William.
Patty earned a B.S. in Family and Child Development from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1990. Patty is the mother of two nearly grown people, a son and a daughter. She resides in Prince William County, VA with her husband Jamie, and her goldendoodle, Annabelle.
